Donald Trump Announces the Capture of Venezuelan Dictator Nicolás Maduro

US President Donald Trump has announced the successful capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.

They have already been taken out of the country, and more details, according to him, will be made public at 17:00 CET (Central European Time, GMT+1).

According to CBS News, the operation was carried out by the soldiers of the elite 1st Delta Special Operations Detachment.

As a reminder, at night the United States launched a military operation in Venezuela, and at least ten explosions were heard in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas.

In the sky above the city, local residents recorded the flight of Chinook and Black Hawk transport helicopters.

The Venezuelan army is also trying to block the entrances to the presidential palace in the capital.

The footage posted online shows armored vehicles being pulled up to the palace, including a Dragoon 300 LFV-2 combat vehicle with a 90 mm Mk.3M-A1 cannon.

The military also detained and turned around local residents heading toward the residence.

Yesterday, Maduro also met with Chinese representative Qi Xiaojie, special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

They discussed strategic areas of cooperation and confirmed their willingness to develop relations in various fields.

Maduro said that Venezuela and China are working together to build a multipolar world based on development and peace.
