DJI has developed a new FlyCart 100 (FC100) drone with built-in millimeter-range radar for efficient logistics tasks.

The presented device is designed to transport heavy loads in difficult conditions.

With a full load of 80 kg, the drone can travel up to 6 km. In a configuration with two batteries, the range increases: up to 12 km with a payload of 65 kg and up to 26 km without payload.

The model is equipped with 62-inch carbon fiber propellers and a coaxial dual rotor system.

The device is IP55-rated and can operate within a temperature range of -20 to +40 °C, reach an altitude of 6,000 meters, and withstand winds of up to 12 m/s.

The drone is equipped with a number of features for stable and safe transportation: an automatic load balancing system, a real-time weight sensor, and a motorized hook for securing the load.

It is controlled using the RC Plus 2 controller, equipped with a 7-inch display. It supports two operators and connection via the DJI O4 protocol.

For safety, the device features a built-in parachute that deploys even at maximum load, as well as a sensor unit equipped with lidar, a camera for detecting obstacles in five directions, and a millimeter-range radar.

The use of drones in combination with millimeter-range radar opens up a wider range of applications.

Millimeter-range radar is a type of radar that uses millimeter waves as its detection range and is widely used in fields such as meteorology, communications, and military applications. Millimeter-wave radar enables the measurement of the distance between a drone and targets, allowing for accurate positioning, tracking, and localization of objects.

This technology can be used effectively to avoid obstacles, hover accurately, and position and orient aircraft. In addition, millimeter-wave radar can accurately detect surface information, including terrain elevation and building shapes.

This year, DJI also introduced the Mavic 4 Pro in its line of semi-professional models, replacing the Mavic 3 Pro.
