Czech defense giant Czechoslovak Group has nearly completed the construction of an artillery shell production line in Ukraine.
The Militarnyi’s correspondent reports this from a briefing at the Czechoslovak Group headquarters.
As part of a joint project with the Ukrainian government, the company Czechoslovak Group will soon complete the construction of a production line for manufacturing 155mm artillery shells.
The facility will ensure the production of the main range of ammunition included in the Czechoslovak Group’s manufacturing portfolio.
“The production site is in the final stage of preparation for launch, but at this time we cannot provide a specific date,” was stated during the briefing.
Company representatives also clarified that Czechoslovak Group is solely responsible for preparing the production line, while all other organizational processes are the responsibility of the Ukrainian side.
Furthermore, during the briefing, it was emphasized that the facility will be located in a low-risk zone for missile strikes, ensuring stable and uninterrupted production in the future.
It is worth noting that the Czechoslovak Group is actively cooperating with Ukraine to produce and develop ammunition.
For instance, in December 2024, it was announced that the company “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles” will receive licenses to produce tank and artillery shells from the European defense holding.
In addition, in October 2024, the companies signed an agreement to transfer licenses to a Ukrainian enterprise to produce various NATO-caliber artillery ammunition.
Now, the complete list of ammunition to be produced is announced:
The license includes permission as well as the transfer of technology and production documentation for the manufacturing of the products and components in Ukraine.
