U&C UAS, a Czech company founded by co-owners of the Ukrainian drone manufacturer DeViRo, has signed a contract to supply UAVs to India, with the prospect of technology transfer and joint production.

U&C UAS announced this in a press release.

The drone supply agreement was signed with TUNGA Aerospace Industries Private Limited, an Indian aerospace company.

The company said the contract was signed on February 3, 2026. It provides for the delivery of unmanned aircraft system samples along with a comprehensive package of related services, including professional training for pilots and operators.

“This contract is a practical continuation of cooperation launched between the two companies in November 2025, which was subsequently registered with the Czech Ministry of Defense, and marks the start of a new operational phase of Czech-Indian cooperation in unmanned technologies,” U&C UAS reported.

Both companies said the contract is only the first step in broader plans. The partnership is expected to evolve into a long-term collaboration, including joint research, development, and production of UAVs.

U&C UAS’s Connection With DeViRo

The Czech company U&C UAS was founded in July 2022 by co-owners of the Ukrainian DeViRo, which has been developing and producing military-grade drones since 2014.

DeViRo is best known for its Leleka line of reconnaissance drones, among the most widely used Ukrainian systems in their class, and for the Bulava family of loitering munitions.

In 2024, the company launched serial production in Kolín, Czech Republic, and planned to produce approximately 100 reconnaissance and strike drones per year at the site.

“Currently, the delivery of unmanned systems from the Czech Republic to Ukraine is an absolute priority. In the future, we intend to secure a significant share of the Central European market in the medium UAV segment and supply products to the armed forces of NATO countries and other states,” former European Commissioner Štefan Füle, who was a member of U&C UAS management at the time, stated.

At the time, approximately 80 employees worked at the company’s Kolín facilities, most of them Ukrainian. Czechs accounted for about one-fifth of the workforce.

U&C UAS has established production of the STORK LR long-range reconnaissance drone and the MACE strike drone.

In comments to Militarnyi in 2023, the company stated that the STORK LR would be produced in the EU, while UAV testing, servicing, and operator training would be conducted in Ukraine.
