The Czech defense group CSG plans to produce approximately 850,000 large-caliber rounds by the end of 2026. This is 300,000 more than the company produced in 2025.

The Czechoslovak Group informed Militarnyi of this.

In 2027, CSG plans to increase production to 1.1 million large-caliber rounds. Thus, production volumes are expected to roughly double over two years — from 550,000 in 2025 to 1.1 million in 2027.

This production ramp-up comes amid significant demand for artillery ammunition in Europe, particularly in Ukraine. CSG is simultaneously expanding its production capacity in various countries.

In particular, Militarnyi previously reported that CSG is building new production lines in the U.S. for the manufacture of 155-mm artillery shells.

The company is also expanding production in Europe. CSG and South Africa’s Reunert have agreed to establish a joint venture in Slovakia to produce electronic fuses for large-caliber ammunition. In addition, CSG’s plant in Greece is already manufacturing 155-mm ammunition.

At the same time, Ukraine remains one of CSG’s key markets.

In the first half of 2026, the company generated €558 million in revenue from the Ukrainian market, accounting for 17% of its total revenue for that period.

This figure also included purchases for the Ukrainian market that were paid for by other countries or parties. Overall, CSG’s revenue for the first half of 2026 increased by 17.2% to €3.25 billion.

Separately, CSG is expanding its cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry.

The company and Ukrainian Armor have signed a strategic partnership agreement to develop and supply modern propulsion systems for Ukrainian guided missiles and unmanned platforms.

At the same time, CSG is expanding its capabilities in air defense, unmanned systems, and counter-UAV technologies. The company’s order and project portfolio for the future has already reached €46 billion.
