The Belarusian creative association TutayshiYa demonstrated the concept of the Belarusian Liberation Army’s uniform.

Maya Kraina Belarus media published the photos of the project.

It is reported that the project was developed jointly with the Heraldic Council, which includes historians.

“Eight months have passed, and from a paper sketch, we have received not just prototypes but a fully finished project of a military uniform with fittings and appropriate attributes,” TutayshiYa says.

The uniform was presented on September 8, the Day of Belarusian Military Glory.

This day marks the 510th anniversary of the Battle of Orsha when the combined army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Crown of Poland completely defeated the army of the Moscow Duchy.

The celebration of September 8 as the Day of Belarusian Military Glory started only in the late 1980s.

In 1992, on the anniversary of the great battle on Independence Square in Minsk, Belarusian officers solemnly swore allegiance to their country and people.

On September 8, 1992, 12 officers and 3000 reserve soldiers were sworn in in Minsk. A very short time later, all army units swore allegiance to Belarus.

The uniform aligns with the current military “fashion” of borrowing elements from the uniforms of the First and Second World Wars.

The uniform also features elements of the heraldry of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, including a six-pointed cross and the Pursuit emblem. It has an emblem with a six-pointed cross on a trident.

It should be remembered that many Belarusians are fighting against the Russian occupation army as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The International Legion of the Territorial Defense, the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate, and other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine include the Belarusian Volunteer Corps, the Pahonia Regiment, the Belarus Tactical Group, and the Belarus Separate Air Assault Company.
