Breakthrough to Kostyantynivka Thwarted: Enemy Lost Armored Vehicles

Russian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to break through to the town of Kostyantynivka (Donetsk region), taking advantage of deteriorating weather conditions.

In the attack, the enemy used heavy armored vehicles – tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and MT-LBs.

According to Ukrainian units, the attack was halted by joint actions of the defense forces. In particular, the Phoenix unit launched a series of FPV drone strikes on enemy equipment at the stage of assault group formation.

After the first strikes, the Phoenix strike group, together with heavy bomber drones, destroyed armored vehicles that had stopped in open areas.

As a result of the battle, one tank, two IFVs and one APC were destroyed. Three tanks, four armored vehicles, one armored personnel carrier and one MT-LB were damaged.

In addition, the Ukrainian military discovered and destroyed an enemy cannon used by the enemy to cover the armored groups’ advance.

Due to the coordinated actions of Ukrainian units, the enemy failed in advancing. The situation in the area of Kostyantynivka is under the full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Phoenix unit reported.

Almost simultaneously with this incident, Ukrainian defenders of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian ground robotic system on the front line for the first time.
