The technology company BlueBird Tech has announced the start of a partnership with one of Ukraine’s leading design bureaus to develop and launch mass production of domestically produced guided bombs.
This was reported by BlueBird Tech.
The main focus of the new partnership will be the creation of Ukrainian high-precision aerial weapons, designed to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces amid the growing role of long-range precision weapons on the modern battlefield.
The project involves Ukrainian engineers and specialists in the field of rocket engineering who have experience in developing complex defense systems.
The company notes that the collaboration has already moved into the practical phase. The parties are working on solving the initial engineering challenges necessary for the creation of promising weapon prototypes.
One of the key priorities is the development of Ukrainian guided aerial bombs, capable of ensuring high-precision target engagement, and scaling up the strike capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force.
BlueBird Tech explains that the decision to launch this project was a response to the current challenges of the war and the need to build up its own high-tech strike capabilities.
The company emphasizes that Russia uses a significant number of guided aerial bombs daily against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, which requires the creation of symmetrical and effective means of response.
According to BlueBird Tech representatives, collaboration with Ukrainian scientists and designers will allow for the phased resolution of complex challenges in the field of missile engineering and the identification of the most critical areas of development for the country’s defense.
Special attention will be paid to issues of serial production, as scaling up the production of high-precision weapons is no less important than their development.
The company also reported on its collaboration with government agencies in the security and defense sector that are interested in the development of new Ukrainian missile and aviation technologies.
BlueBird Tech emphasizes that establishing its own school of modern rocket engineering and creating new high-precision weapon systems remain among the company’s key priorities for strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported on the development of gliding bomb technologies, specifically guidance and correction modules that transform conventional bombs into high-precision weapons.
Such systems enable strikes to be carried out from tens of kilometers away from the target without the carrier aircraft entering the range of most frontline air defense systems.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force uses JDAM-ER precision-guided bombs.
The Air Force also published photos of JDAM-ER high-precision bombs with congratulatory inscriptions. These are the first photos of these bombs in service with Ukraine.
Against this backdrop, the BlueBird Tech project and the new design bureau may be aimed at developing and scaling up the production of Ukrainian guided aerial bombs for the needs of the Armed Forces.
If the project is successfully implemented, the Ukrainian defense industry could gain additional capabilities for the mass production of domestically developed high-precision aerial munitions.
