Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized invaders and took POWs near Bakhmut

Ukrainian forces eliminated the Russian invaders and advanced near Bakhmut.

Soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade showcased footage featuring combat work in this direction.

During the offensive, the soldiers occupied Russian positions and moved forward.

The released footage shows the assault on the Russian positions on armored vehicles and the bodies of the invaders as a result of this assault.

“The cemetery of dead Russians and four more prisoners of war is the result of a successful assault of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade in the Bakhmut direction,” the military said.

Soldiers of the 225th Battalion of the ground defense forces also reported that they captured six Russian soldiers in the direction of Bakhmut.

The POWs said that they were members of the Russian unit of the Veterany private military company. As previously reported, this unit was formed by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Bakhmut direction

Now the Ukrainian military continues its movement in the direction of Bakhmut.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, said that the military is occupying new commanding heights around the city every day.

“Now the number of high points occupied by our military is increasing, and progress is really taking place,” Hanna Malyar said.

However, she emphasized that the advance is currently difficult, because the Russian invaders are withdrawing their reserves in this direction. In addition, they are trying to gain a foothold in the areas where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have gone on the offensive.

The President of Ukraine also said that Russia lost 21,000 mercenaries of the Wagner PMC in this direction, and another 60,000 were wounded.
