The soldiers of the 66th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed the Russian Murom-M surveillance system, as well as EW and communication equipment.

The trophy Russian Kornet anti-tank missile system was used to defeat the surveillance system.

The military published a video featuring combat work on their social networks.

A serviceman of the mechanized brigade launched a guided anti-tank missile from the captured Russian Kornet ATGM. 15-16 seconds after the shot, the missile hit the target.

The footage from a Ukrainian drone confirmed damaging Russian equipment on the tower.

The Murom-M autonomous mobile surveillance system is designed for round-the-clock remote video surveillance, monitoring and protection of open areas, approaches, perimeters and routes to the objects.

The Russians are setting up such systems near the Ukrainian border or in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

It can have different configurations. It is stated that the system sees a person at a distance of 10 km with the help of a conventional camera and at 4 km with the help of a thermal imager. Such surveillance systems pose a threat to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, because they monitor the actions and movement of forces and assets over long distances at any time of the day.

The Murom surveillance systems is supplied by the Russian “Stilsoft” developer and manufacturer of integrated security systems, special equipment, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Kornet ATGM is an anti-tank missile system of 2+ generation designed by the Tula Design Bureau.The missile is controlled by a semi-automatic control system using a laser beam before hitting the target.

The functions of an ATGM operator during combat work are reduced to identifying a target through an optical or thermal imaging sight, tracking it, firing a shot, and keeping the crosshairs on the target until it is destroyed. The manufacturer states that the maximum range reaches 5,500 meters.
