Armed Forces of Ukraine defeat Russian military from the 155th brigade

In the Vuhledar direction, the Ukrainian military has defeated the forces of the Russian 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade.

Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko released a video featuring interrogation of prisoners of war from the brigade who managed to survive after the battle.

“Eleven prisoners from the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet are communicating with our soldiers in the Vuhledar area,” the journalist said.

All prisoners of war are on contract service, not mobilized. Of the eleven prisoners of war, only two are marines.

The rest are seconded to the Russian 155th brigade from ships and other units.

“That is, the brigade is actually broken up, and it is being replenished with ordinary sailors, driving them to the front from all over the place,” Andrii Tsaplienko noted.

The second part of the video, which shows other neutralized Russian soldiers, was also published on the social network.

The footage features a room where at least 10 bodies of Russian soldiers lie.

Recently, the Russian army has been taking active offensive actions in the Vuhledar area, the city and its surroundings are being held by the soldiers of the 72nd brigade and other units, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

The footage of the defeat of Russian units in the Vuhledar area shows that the enemy uses extremely ineffective tactics – this suggests that the 155th brigade most likely consists of untrained soldiers.

At the beginning of March, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the command and personnel of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, which had been defeated near Vuhledar, refused to go on a new assault on the city, despite the demands of the higher authorities.

“A conflict is brewing in the top military leadership of the Russian Federation due to significant losses and the lack of real achievements at the front. In February of this year, Putin awarded the commander of the Eastern Military District, Muradov, the rank of colonel general for a report on the “successes” of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade in the Vuhledar direction. Now [Russian Defense Minister Sergei] Shoigu is demanding that the general work out his rank and take the city at any cost,” the report says.
