New satellite images of Zmiyinyi Island show that the Russians have deployed at least 15 units of equipment on it.

The respective satellite images by Planet.com and Maxar were posted by the OSINT blogger Tim Ehrhart on Twitter.

A floating crane located near the island’s pier can also be observed in the pictures.

Nearby, several ships are located.

The Operational Command “South” reported that Russians are attempting to arrange hoisting and rescue operations near Zmiyinyi Island to lift the damaged Raptor-class high-speed patrol boat from under the water.

It is noted that after lifting the Raptor, it is planned to be towed to the Donuzlav base.

The images released by Planet.com and Maxar are dated May 28, 2022.

As previously reported, these are not the first reports of invaders attempting to lift a sunken vessel. Obviously, the work is still ongoing.

On May 7 and 8, the Defense Forces of Ukraine made a number of strikes on Zmiyinyi Island. In particular, destroyed were the landing ship, up to 5 Raptor high-speed patrol boats, the Mi-8 helicopter with the landing craft, and the island’s infrastructure.
