At night, Sevastopol was subjected to a massive drone attack, the debris of which damaged substations.
Russian media reported on this.
As a result of the massive drone attack, which, according to Russian sources, involved about 60 drones, debris damaged several substations.
Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev announced this.
“The air defense forces, the navy and the Crimean Defense Forces in different areas of Sevastopol continue to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned surface vehicles in the water,” he said in a statement.
Russians are spreading information that 51 drones were destroyed during the attack on Sevastopol, and that their wreckage fell on the city’s substations.
As a result of the damage, many areas of the city were left without electricity.
The attack reportedly also involved naval drones, which, according to Russian officials, were destroyed.
As previously reported, on the night of May 16-17, drones also attacked the Russian city of Novorossiysk, where the naval base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is located.
Eyewitnesses claim that the explosions in the Russian city began at three in the morning and sounded until almost 4 a.m.
As a result of the attack, as of the morning, the port was completely black-out. Electricity also disappeared in some areas of the city and public transport did not work. Some streets were closed off.
At the same time, a Rosneft-owned oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai was attacked.
