Soldiers of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully repelled another large-scale Russian assault in the Kharkiv region.

The brigade’s press service shared a video documenting the battle.

“Today, the enemy launched a massive offensive in the Kharkiv region in the area of responsibility of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade. We were ready for the offensive. We are repelling it. The fighting continues,” the statement reads.

The brigade declares that the minimum estimated losses of the enemy in manpower are 13 killed and 27 wounded.

In addition, the enemy lost two T-62 tanks, and the same number was damaged by the brigade’s firepower.

The Russians also lost two IFVs destroyed and one armored personnel carrier damaged.

According to the released footage, the Russian assault group also used Chinese Desertcross all-terrain vehicles.

FPV drones were the main means of destroying enemy armor and vehicles.

Hostilities in the Kharkiv region

Militarnyi previously reported that the Khartiia Brigade and the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade repulsed a Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region.

Before the direct offensive, a drone detected the enemy in time to prepare for a defensive battle.

In the assault, the enemy engaged BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles equipped with anti-drone protection, which were supposed to support the Russian infantry with fire thanks to the use of a 30mm gun and a 100mm rocket launcher.

Nevertheless, the combat vehicles were the first to be destroyed, as they were a priority target for Ukrainian defenders and were carrying troops.
