Ukrainian defenders have already shot down 17 Russian Shaheds within the Dronefall project framework from the Come Back Alive foundation.
The foundation’s press service announced this on social media.
In addition, 30 Gerber drones have been intercepted, which Russians are massively using to overload Ukrainian air defense. They are also equipped with warheads and pose a danger.
The Foundation reported that since mid-spring, it has started to provide Dronefall units with the means to shoot down Shahed drones, which the enemy uses to attack Ukrainian cities en masse, and this investment has already brought results.
“It is not much, but our experience shows that the path from several downed drones per week to several hundred per month is real. So it’s time for Dronefall to take on the Shahed,“ the Come Back Alive foundation noted.
«Це небагато, але наш досвід показує: шлях від кількох збитих дронів на тиждень до кількох сотень на місяць — реальний. Тож настав час «Дронопаду» взятись за «Шахеди», – зазначили у «Повернись живим».

З середини весни ми почали забезпечувати підрозділи «Дронопаду» засобами для збиття «Шахедів» і запустили той самий загадковий відлік на сайті.

The foundation emphasizes that one of the Dronefall goals is to shoot down 3,000 enemy reconnaissance and attack UAVs using interceptor drones.
However, the bigger goal is to develop a full-fledged ecosystem in the Defense Forces that will work in conjunction with property from the state and other organizations or volunteers.
As part of the project, the military is supplied with everything they need to intercept Russian drones. The Foundation analyzes the needs of the units and supplies them with adapted FPV drones, vehicles, communication and power supplies, etc.
In addition, the military undergoes training, which is also funded by the Come Back Alive Foundation. In particular, it is possible to obtain a relevant military specialty at the Yatagan school, which is run by the foundation.
The estimated amount of enemy losses from the implementation of this project has already reached UAH 6.4 billion, while the property that Come Back Alive transferred for destruction cost UAH 464 million.
At the same time, the use of interceptor drones against Russian UAVs significantly saves the state’s resources, as it does not require the use of expensive anti-aircraft missiles.
