On Monday night, in the Russian city of Belgorod and in the region, fires occurred at infrastructure facilities.
Russian propagandist mass media reported on the fires, while videos from the scene were published on social networks.
Most of the sources of the aggressor state claim that the fires were caused by a drone strike.
It is reported that eyewitnesses heard an explosion before the fire.
Russian Telegram channels and media published a video of the fire.
According to the reports on social networks, the incident led to electricity supply issues in some areas of the city.
Later, the governor of the region stated that two fires at civilian facilities had been recorded in the region.
“Two fires at civilian facilities were recorded in Belgorod and Belgorod district. No casualties reported. All emergency services are on site, the fire is being extinguished,” he said.
At the same time, the majority of the mass media of the aggressor country are accusing the strikes of alleged Ukrainian drones of causing the fires.
The Russian BBC service refers to the sources that write about the impact on the thermal power plant, others report on the damage to the substation. Around 1 a.m., the authorities of the Russian region announced that both fires had been extinguished.
As previously reported, a drone with explosives attacked the airport in the Russian city of Belgorod. Russian propagandist media claim that the incident happened in the afternoon on April 10.
According to Telegram channels, an unmanned aerial vehicle with an explosive device fell near the airport fence and exploded. It is stated that the explosion allegedly damaged the airport’s fence and the signal cable.
