Term of training of the “Offensive Guard” soldiers revealed

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has revealed how long the training of soldiers of the “Offensive Guard” will last.

Currently, the main task for soldiers is combat training and leveling up professionally.

This was announced by Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs.

According to him, the training of personnel of eight new launched brigades of the “Offensive Guard”, which are now being formed, will last from 2 to 4 months.

These units are aimed at strengthening the Ukrainian Defense Forces and liberating the occupied territories of Ukraine from Russian invaders.

Klymenko says that initially the “backbones” of the brigades will go to training, that is, active servicemen and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who already have service experience, including combat experience.

“Subsequently, new soldiers will gradually join them – from among the volunteers selected during the recruiting campaign to the “Offensive Guard” brigades, which is ongoing,” the minister said.

Besides, the process of acquisition of technical equipment and property, as well as financial support for new brigades, their logistics and other systems of provision and supply will continue in parallel.

“We have to refuel the equipment on time, and repair it on time. This is a large process continuing in parallel with the formation of brigades.

We understand that the military itself should not think of anything [else], other than how to improve its skills, its professional level and actions on the battlefield to protect each other in order to perform a combat task,” the Minister of Internal Affairs noted.

It should be reminded that in early February, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine began the formation of the “Offensive Guard” assault brigades as part of the National Police, State Border Guard Service and National Guard.

On the anniversary of the Russian full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented battle flags to the newly created “Offensive Guard” brigades. The ceremony took place on Sofia Square in Kyiv.
