The Ukrainian company Ratel Robotics has unveiled an updated design for the Ratel X UGV.
Representatives of Ratel Robotics informed Militarnyi about the platform’s upgrade.
Key changes include a modernized upper frame, an updated payload platform, new body geometry, a new front section, and an upgraded reinforced bumper.
The updated Ratel X design also features an improved architecture, optimized component layout, and enhanced manufacturability.
Engineers paid special attention to the system’s maintainability and its adaptation for long-term operation in combat conditions.
The Ratel X is a wheeled ground robotic system designed to perform logistics missions.
The platform has a ground clearance of over 400 mm, reaches speeds of up to 14 km/h, travels over 100 km on a single charge, and carries up to 400 kg of payload.
The system’s operational range exceeds 115 km. The Ratel X’s dimensions are 2,580 × 1,780 × 830–1,930 mm, depending on the antenna configuration.
The system weighs 1,130 kg, and 1,530 kg with a payload. The platform is equipped with day and night cameras.
These solutions were developed based on an analysis of frontline operations, feedback from military units, and the ongoing work of the engineering team.
Recently, the Ratel Robotics team participated in an experience-sharing event in Denmark alongside BrixDef, focusing on equipment operation, field scenarios, and team coordination. The updated Ratel X and other UGV models were showcased at the event.
Ratel Robotics is also conducting tests of net launchers on UGVs.
