The American venture studio Victoria Tech is creating a map of Ukrainian startups for investors.

Militarnyi reports on this.

The Victoria Tech venture studio invites startups from Ukraine to apply for inclusion in the Defense Tech Stakeholders map.

This is a comprehensive report on how the Defense Tech sector works in Ukraine. The document will collect information about Ukrainian defense startups and the algorithm of actions of stakeholders responsible for ensuring that the state purchases products from Ukrainian innovators for the Ukrainian defense forces.

The map will be presented to a select group of US investors and partners interested in supporting Ukrainian startups and companies in the field of Military Tech.

Artur Kulian, Nazar Hulyk, and Kostiantyn Bihus, founders of the venture studio and Ukrainian citizens with extensive experience working with startups in Silicon Valley, note that the purpose of creating such a map is to show investors in the United States how Ukrainian Defense Tech works.

“There are a lot of cool projects in Ukraine that lack funding to take off or bring their cool developments to the stage of production or scaling. On the other hand, many investors and funds in the United States are ready to help Ukraine, but they don’t know how this sector works in Ukraine, what startups or companies exist, and what the structure of this whole path is, from idea to battlefield. The Defense Tech Stakeholders map aims to present all market players on the same plane,” the Victoria venture studio notes.

Militarnyi’s experts and team were involved in the map development. All collected information about startups and companies will be used solely to inform potential investors.

So we invite Ukrainian developers to join in and FILL OUT THE FORM.

The report does not require sensitive information. In the form, only indicate what is safe for you and your team members.

Victoria Tech is one of the organizers of the Defense Tech Hackathon, which took place in November 2024 aboard the USS Hornet aircraft carrier in California.

The hackathon participants worked on tasks formulated at the request of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which ensured the practical value of the developments.

Defense Tech Hackathon brought together key players in the technology and defense sectors: The Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, defense tech cluster Brave1, as well as representatives of the US Special Operations Forces, engineers from MIT Lincoln Labs, Anduril and Palantir, and current and former military personnel.

Following the two-day event, 37 teams presented their projects, among which the jury selected 11 finalists and then the winners. The best teams received cash awards and prizes, including Starlink kits from UkraineNow.org and a special prize from Victoria Tech.
