A strike drone of the Unmanned Systems Forces hit a Russian 9S32M1 radar station of the S-300V anti-aircraft missile system.

The relevant video was posted by the Commander of the USF on social media.

He noted that the damage occurred on January 5 in the Donetsk region. The strike was carried out by an unidentified drone of an unspecified type, which was operated by specialists from the 412th Brigade NEMESIS.

Judging by the released footage, the drone hit the radar’s antenna module directly, which almost certainly led to the complete disabling of the combat vehicle.

It is possible that the strike damaged the chassis and injured the crew, but due to the lack of technical specifications for the drone’s warhead, it is impossible to say.

The 9S32M1 radar is an extremely rare target in the Russo-Ukrainian war.

According to the ORYX analytical service, only two such stations – 9S32M1 and 9S19M2 – have been damaged by the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the entire period of hostilities.

9S32M1

9S32M1 is a three-coordinate multi-channel radar missile guidance station designed to control the combat operation of an anti-aircraft missile system.

The system is equipped with a coherent pulse radar operating in the centimeter range of electromagnetic waves.

Thanks to the use of a phased array antenna, the station provides electronic beam scanning without mechanical rotation of the antenna, which significantly increases the speed and survivability of the system.

The radar carries out sectoral search for air targets and their subsequent tracking both in autonomous mode and in the mode of receiving external targeting.

In addition, the 9S32M1 simultaneously controls the operation of launchers and chargers.

The station is capable of guiding up to 12 anti-aircraft guided missiles against six air targets simultaneously, making it a key element of multi-channel air defense.

The declared range of detection of a fighter-type target moving at an altitude of at least 5 kilometers is 140 to 150 kilometers.
