UKRSPECSYSTEMS UK Enters Final Phase of Ukrainian Drone Production Launch in the UK

The first phase of launching Ukrainian drone production in the UK by UKRSPECSYSTEMS UK is expected to be completed early next year.

According to UKRSPECSYSTEMS UK Managing Director Rory Chamberlain, the company should be fully ready for production at this stage, including equipment setup, certification processes, and start-up procedures.

According to him, the mission is to showcase the best Ukrainian achievements in UAVs in the UK, and to do it on a large scale.

After commissioning the facilities, the company will enter a key phase: establishing an engineering division to work in parallel with the Ukrainian team.

Most R&D will remain in Ukraine, but separate engineering groups will operate in the UK to adapt products to NATO standards and develop joint solutions.

Chamberlain emphasized that the company aims to avoid different technical standards for individual customers — everything must comply with a single safety and compatibility system.

Actual production has not yet begun. Ukrainian authorities are completing the procedures for technology transfer permits, which are critical for operations in the UK.

Both Ukraine and the UK are actively coordinating technological interaction, and progress is proceeding according to agreed priorities.

The company stressed that bureaucratic procedures are necessary to ensure the legal and security integrity of the process, and UKRSPECSYSTEMS supports their implementation.

Chamberlain noted that the company always works one step ahead so that Ukrainian defense forces receive support without delay, regardless of external circumstances.

He added that preparation for any scenario includes reliable energy, resilient infrastructure, and secure supply chains — without them, production of military technologies is impossible.

UKRSPECSYSTEMS UK is positioning the new site as a joint Ukrainian-British engineering and manufacturing center capable of scaling developments, including the MINI SHARK reconnaissance drone.

The company recently confirmed it is building a factory in the UK and investing $250 million in drone production.
