During a training exercise in France, an interceptor drone from Alta Ares, based on Ukrainian technology, was the only device that managed to successfully intercept a drone in the midst of a storm.

According to Air Cosmos, the tests were conducted in the municipality of Biscarross at the French Defense Procurement Agency’s test site.

Although NATO had planned to test the interceptor drones under normal weather conditions, the test was not canceled even because of the storm. As a result, only one device was able to shoot down a simulated enemy drone – the Alta Ares.

“This solution is being developed by companies from NATO member states together with Ukraine’s innovative defense sector with the support of experts from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” NATO said.

Ukrainian specialists are actively involved in the trials, providing expert assessments to ensure that the solution meets the real needs of the modern battlefield.

Each modification of the Alta Ares interceptors has its own short-, medium-, and long-range capabilities and is equipped with the Pixel Lock system.

The Pixel Lock is a built-in artificial intelligence algorithm that identifies, tracks, and neutralizes a target without direct human intervention.

The Pixel Lock technology is already being adapted to the needs of Ukrainian units, in particular, as part of programs to counter enemy FPV drones and guided aerial bombs.

A Ukrainian interceptor drone plays a crucial role in this solution.

The drone is specially designed to combat Shahed/Geran drones, which are actively used by Russian troops.

Previously, five Ukrainian companies produced this type of drone. Now, Alta Ares has joined the manufacturers, announcing the opening of its own production line in France.

In order to strengthen European defense sovereignty and improve supply chain efficiency, Alta Ares has opened a production facility for Ukrainian interceptor drones in Western France.

In partnership with Ukrainian developers, the company plans to internationalize the entire production cycle in France, based on combat experience and feedback from Ukraine.
