Ukrainian Rocket Artillery Targets Enemy Command Post in Zaporizhzhia Region

Rocket artillery and aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted the enemy’s command post in Zaporizhzhia.

It is reported that the targeting of high-precision munitions was carried out by a Shark unmanned reconnaissance system of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.

In addition to the command post, the locations of Russian invasion troops were also targeted in the attack.

OSINT researcher EjShahid identified the strike location as the village of Novohorivka, situated 20 kilometers from the front line.

The Come Back Alive Foundation group detailed that the strike was carried out using the M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System).

Given the area of the strike and the number of submunitions, it can be assumed that several M30 missiles or an ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) ballistic missile were used.

In addition, the relatively small volume of explosions during the air strike suggests that the Ukrainian Air Force may have used GBU-39 bombs.

HIMARS combat operations

Recently, on September 23, Militarnyi reported that the 413th separate battalion of unmanned systems, together with the 78th separate air assault regiment, had targeted a Russian Buk-M3 with HIMARS in the Kursk oblast.

The video shows the launcher launching at an air target, while the SAM tries to leave the position but is hit almost directly by a GMLRS missile.

GBU-39 combat engagement

On September 13, it was reported that the Air Force used GBU-39 bombs to strike at Russian positions in the Kharkiv region.

Three bombs hit targets in the village of Nova Tarasivka in the Kharkiv region.
