The oil terminal at the Russian port of Taman suffered direct damage to its tanks as a result of an attack by Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
This is evidenced by satellite images analyzed by Militarnyi.
The photos, dated January 22, show at least two direct hits on tanks containing petroleum products.
The images also show a large black spot on the ground, which is likely the result of spilled oil products catching fire — the drones may have hit nearby.
As a reminder, the strike on the terminal was carried out on the evening of January 21.
According to Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, the attack caused a fire in four tanks.
The fire was large-scale: 97 personnel and 29 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing it.
According to LB, the strike on the oil terminal was carried out by drones from the Special Operations Center “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine. According to journalists, the attack damaged technological pipelines at the berths.
In addition, a number of vacuum gas oil tanks and fuel oil tanks were damaged.
The previous attack on the port of Taman took place about a month ago, on the night of December 21-22, 2025, when the facility was also attacked by drones.
At that time, the strike damaged the berth, pipeline, and ships in the port.
The Taman transshipment complex, operated by Tamanneftegaz, is one of the largest in the Black Sea region.
Its tank farm for storing petroleum products and liquefied gas has a total capacity of over 1 million cubic meters.
The Taman sea terminal is a key export hub in the Black Sea, handling oil, gas, ammonia, grain, coal, and other cargoes for international trade.
