The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at the Russian 50N6E radar of the S-350 Vityaz air defense missile system.

The photo was published by the dosye_shpiona Telegram channel, but it mistakenly identified this radar as 9S32 from the S-300V air defense system.

The strike was carried out in the Donetsk region using two drones, after which the radar caught fire.

The 50N6E was likely hit by fighters from the Asgard battalion of the 412th ‘Nemesis’ Unmanned Systems Brigade.

50N6E and 9S32 radars

A video posted by the Commander of the USF, Robert Brovdi, on January 1 this year shows a similar position in the Donetsk region and the same radar, but then a single drone was used.

The 50N6E multifunctional radar is a key element of Russia’s latest S-350 medium-range air defense missile system. It is capable of automatically detecting up to 100 air targets simultaneously and tracking up to 8 for further destruction.

According to the manufacturer, the S-350 can destroy aerodynamic targets at a distance of up to 60 km and at an altitude of up to 30 km. The Vityaz is also allegedly capable of shooting down ballistic targets at a range of up to 30 km.
