Ukrainian drone instructors have been involved in the Estonian Siil 2025 exercise.
This was reported by the press service of the exercise.
“We are here to show our equipment and teach our NATO allies how to fight with drones,” said a former Azov member with the call sign Ranger.
According to him, the situation on the battlefield is constantly changing, so unmanned systems must be constantly improved.
“Our goal here is to learn and teach each other. So it is only a matter of time before you are on the same level as us,” he adds.
Ukrainian instructors brought a variety of equipment to Estonia: FPV drones with night optics, reconnaissance drones, signal amplifiers, and an experimental drone with a 2.5 kg warhead and a range of up to 65 km.
During the exercises, Estonian units will use Mavic drones to detect targets, while the Ukrainian command will strike using FPV drones.
Recently, it became known that the Danish Armed Forces will send several groups of military personnel to Ukraine to study drone tactics and learn from the combat experience of the Ukrainian army.
Units from different regiments will be sent to Ukraine to undergo military training as part of the initiative of the Commander of the Danish Armed Forces and at the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The exact number of participants and the final training program are yet to be determined. It is expected that both instructors and soldiers will take part in the training.
The course will last from one to two weeks, depending on the area of training.
The training is scheduled to begin this summer. The main focus will be on learning from Ukraine’s experience in using unmanned systems.
