This was reported on the official Telegram page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the target was hit, and a fire broke out at the attack site. This is the Khanskaya airfield (military unit 55661), where the 272nd Training Aviation Base of the 2nd category was formed.

Before the war, the facility was used primarily for training flights, with L-39 aircraft stationed there.

The airfield is located 3 km east of Khanska village and 6 km northwest of the city of Maikop at coordinates 44°40’47″N 40°02’00″E. The distance from the facility to territory under Ukrainian control is about 500 km.

At the same time, according to a video posted by a local resident, the airfield was hit. However, it is currently unknown what consequences heavy cloud cover will have, as satellite imagery cannot be used to record the damage in detail.

Militarnyi previously reported that on the night of December 21, a representative of the Resistance Movement made his way to the Lipetsk-2 military airfield and set fire to two Su-30SM fighter jets.
