Soldiers of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo killed two Russian fighters who were attacking on horseback and seized their horses.

According to Dmytro “Perun” Filatov, the regiment’s commander, the horses were not injured.

Russian forces used horses during the assault on the regiment’s positions. Ukrainian reconnaissance units detected the attack in advance and warned the defending troops.

After that, the Russian fighters were detected and killed by small-arms fire, while the horses remained unharmed.

Filatov noted that the animals will help evacuate wounded Ukrainian soldiers to the rear.

As previously reported, Russian forces have also been using horses as mobile terminals for Starlink satellite internet.

The purpose of this development remains unclear. It is likely that Russian drone operators use this tactic to quickly change positions.
