All 25 Shark unmanned aircraft systems, which the Come Back Alive Foundation had purchased together with the OKKO network of filling complexes, were transferred to the troops.

The reconnaissance drones for the Ukrainian military were purchased at the expense of donors within the framework of the project “EYE FOR THE EYE”.

All of them are already operating at the front, helping the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroy the equipment and manpower of the Russian invaders.

According to the Come Back Alive Foundation, Shark systems were received by 10 artillery brigades, 7 reconnaissance battalions, three mechanized brigades, two marine brigades, DIU reconnaissance units and an ELINT reconnaissance unit of the training center.

“And one of the transferred Sharks has already played a significant role in the summer offensive campaign. With its help, one of the intelligence units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which effectively operated in the Zaporizhzhia direction, successfully performed combat missions, ” the Foundation for Competent Assistance to the Ukrainian Army said.

The very first system was sent to the front on March 22. The last one was transferred on Monday, September 11.

The charity initiative from the OKKO and the Come Back Alive Foundation started on November 1 last year. 325 million hryvnias were collected for the purchase of UAVs. The fundraiser lasted about five months and ended in April this year.

“And only during this time, our “flock” caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to the invaders, helping to defeat enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, artillery, armored vehicles, multiple rocket launchers, as well as EW and SIGINT systems,” the fund said.

Shark UAS

Due to its technical features, Shark can delve into the rear of the enemy for a distance of more than 60 km and conduct surveillance at a distance of up to 10 km from the UAV to the target.

Each complex includes, as follows:

  • 2 drones having a Full HD camera, equipped with an electro-optical sensor with 30x optical magnification and additional digital zoom. It is able to track targets even at a speed of 100 km/h;
  • catapult launcher;
  • ground control station with navigation system and workstations of external pilots integrated into the vehicle.

The software of the unmanned system allows one pilot to fully control the aircraft and its camera, improves terrain orientation and automates many important functions.

Thanks to these capabilities and the duration of up to 4 hours, Shark successfully adjusts not only 155mm artillery, but also provides target assignment for Ukrainian HIMARS.
