The Ukrainian Air Force announced the downing of a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber in the Zaporizhzhia region on the morning of September 25.

The Ukrainian Air Force announced this on its social media.

According to the statement, Ukrainian defenders shot down the aircraft of the Russian forces at approximately 4:00 a.m.

According to the military, this Su-34 had been performing terrorist attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia, using guided bombs.

The Ukrainian Air Force has not disclosed further details. It remains unknown what happened to the crew of the Russian bomber or which system the Ukrainian defenders used to destroy it.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Su-34s have become the main platform for the Russians to conduct missile and bomb strikes on Ukrainian cities and the positions of the Defense Forces on the front lines.

These fighter-bombers are actively used to deploy bombs with UMPK kits.
