Swift Beat has signed an agreement with the Ukrainian government on the joint production of drones, including long-range drones and Shaheed interceptors.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this.

It involves the creation of several joint companies between Ukrainian manufacturers and Swift Beat, as well as the supply of hundreds of thousands of drones this year.

“This is a document on co-production between Ukraine and the United States. There will be several campaigns. They focus on different types of drones. However, the most important thing is this year and next. This year, hundreds of thousands. And next year, there will be an increase in,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted.

The President emphasized that the main component of the document is the production of interceptor drones, which have already proven their effectiveness in Ukraine.

“We have now signed a very serious contract. We are looking forward to shooting down a large number of Shaheds. Therefore, I believe that this is a good start to work in this direction,” the Head of State said.

Little is known about Swift Beat’s products, but its website indicates the direction of development of innovative autonomous systems. Together with the immediate launch of large-scale production, this suggests that Ukrainian manufacturers will be provided with software solutions for integration into ready-made Ukrainian-made unmanned systems.

Presumably, Swift Beat can transfer automation technologies, autonomous navigation without the use of a satellite network, or software solutions for target acquisition and homing.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi also stated that some Ukrainian defense companies will have access to new technologies, enabling them to expand their production capabilities.

Defense Minister Rustem Umierov, who signed the agreement with Swift Beat CEO Eric Schmidt, added new details, saying that the memorandum provides for:

  • long-term partnership and priority supply of drones for Ukraine,
  • large-scale production of interceptor drones, quadcopters, and strike systems,
  • development of new solutions to counter cruise and ballistic missiles.

He emphasized that the supplies will be made on special terms at the cost of production.
