At the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris, Ukraine presented the SIRENA unmanned trimaran, equipped with a powerful electronic warfare (EW) suite and missiles designed to counter aircraft.
Speaking to Militarnyi at the exhibition, a representative of the Center of Innovative Technologies Program said that the maritime drone was specifically developed to conduct complex electronic warfare operations in confined and contested maritime areas.
The system’s key feature is an integrated multi-band jamming capability that operates across a broad frequency range from 300 to 6,000 MHz.
This enables the platform to simultaneously disrupt enemy communications, GNSS navigation signals, and drone control links.
The effective electronic suppression range against enemy systems reaches up to 30 kilometers.
To ensure high combat effectiveness, the trimaran is equipped with the Pelican V1 radar and the Scorpion V5 electronic warfare system.
“Scorpion suppresses navigation systems, including autopilots. It can also be used against Shahed drones,” a company representative said.
In addition to its jamming capabilities, the vessel is equipped with the SeaDRAGON launcher, which can fire AIM-9M Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.
The SIRENA unmanned trimaran can operate in autonomous, semi-autonomous, or remotely controlled modes, without needing a direct line-of-sight connection to its command center.
The vessel can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h (56 mph) and carry up to 300 kg (660 lbs) of payload.
With up to 24 hours of endurance, SIRENA is designed for coastal defense, electronic warfare, and reconnaissance missions, with an operational range of up to 800 km (500 miles).
