Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two S-400 air defense missile system launchers in Russia’s Bryansk Region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
According to the General Staff, the two S-400 launchers were struck near the village of Vygonichi in the Bryansk region.
The Russian side has not reported any losses of air defense systems in this area. Meanwhile, Yegor Kovalchuk, acting governor of the Bryansk region, reported a large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones on the region.
According to him, 82 aircraft-type drones were allegedly destroyed over the Bryansk region within 24 hours. Russian air defense units, mobile fire groups, including the “BARS-Bryansk” brigade, and units of the Russian National Guard were deployed to intercept them.
In addition to air defense systems, the Defense Forces struck several other Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
In the Donetsk area, a site used by Russian forces for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack UAVs was struck.
Strikes were also carried out against logistics depots in Kurakhivka and Nova Mariivka in the Donetsk region, as well as in Luhansk.
In Strilkove, in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, and in the Druzhne area of the Luhansk region, areas where Russian troops were concentrated were struck.
The General Staff did not specify exactly what weapons were used to strike these targets and has not yet released any photos or videos of the results.
The town of Vyhonychi was also attacked by Ukrainian drones in February, striking the 750-kV Novobryansk substation—one of the key elements of the region’s power grid.
In September, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine also revealed details on the production of RM-48U ballistic missiles for the S-400 system, the component supply chain, the enterprises involved in production, and the foreign equipment the Russians use.
