The Ukrainian company Motor-G has reached 80% localization of the production of engines for military drones.

The company told Militarnyi that it expects to increase the level of localization to about 90% next year.

Motor-G has formed a wide range of engines for FPV drones, strike bombers, and aircraft-type drones.

At the same time, there are still some items that are not yet available in the domestic market for full localization. These are primarily small magnets and bearings.

Although Ukraine has established bearing production, it is mainly focused on large sizes, while drone engines require compact components.

Motor-G notes that the development of its own production creates demand and stimulates the emergence of new segments in the Ukrainian market.

It has also recently become known that the Ukrainian drone engine manufacturer AeroMotors has attracted Swedish investments to scale up production.
