An unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) belonging to the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully eliminated two Russian occupiers in the Pokrovsk area.
The operation took place in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
The Ukrainian military prepared a fire trap in advance on one of the enemy’s advance routes, using the advantages of a remotely controlled platform. The use of UGVs made it possible to destroy the aggressor’s infantry without the slightest risk to the lives of Ukrainian defenders, who controlled the process from a safe shelter.
It should be noted that ground-based robotic systems have significant tactical advantages and allow defense forces units to conduct various operations with less risk to personnel.
On January 27, 2026, the Droid TW-7.62 reconnaissance and strike ground robotic system based on the NUMO platform, used by soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, remotely captured three Russian soldiers during a combat operation.
In addition, on November 30, 2025, a ground-based robotic system of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with a remotely controlled large-caliber machine gun, shot down a Russian MT-LB armored personnel carrier that was moving towards Ukrainian positions in a night operation.
The operator opened fire with a 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine gun on the armored personnel carrier and the troops inside, resulting in the armored vehicle being disabled and the assault being fought off.
