The United States is allocating an additional $100 million for supplying Ukraine with the means of destroying the Russian armored vehicles.

The new tranche of security and defense assistance for Ukraine will be ensuring the new weapons supplies to fight against the armored vehicles of the Russian invaders.

The official statement from Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State, released on April 6, declares that.

The allocation of an additional $100 million for the defense of Ukraine resulted from the release of footage of Russian military crimes in the city of Bucha.

“The world has been shocked and appalled by the atrocities committed by Russia’s forces in Bucha and across Ukraine. Ukraine’s forces bravely continue to defend their country and their freedom, and the United States, along with our Allies and partners, stand steadfast in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” stressed the U.S. Secretary of State.

In the light of this, Blinken stated that on behalf of the U.S. President, he had approved the immediate allocation of security assistance with the value of up to $100 million “to meet the urgent needs of Ukraine with regard to the additional anti armored vehicles systems.”

As reported earlier, the Republic of Estonia had shipped a batch of lethal weapons, including 122-mm howitzers, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Estonia has also provided Ukraine with helmets, ballistic vests, communications equipment, drones, night-vision devices, and laser rangefinders.

In addition, the first batch of MRAP Bushmaster PMV is being prepared to be shipped from Australia to Ukraine.
