The advanced Ukrainian Tryzub laser system has been integrated into a mobile anti-drone system—capable of countering everything from FPV drones to reconnaissance drones.

Celebra Tech, the company that developed it, reported this to Militarnyi.

The laser system is currently undergoing final testing and is being prepared for a public presentation.

Vadym Sukharevsky, the USF first commander, first spoke of this system in December 2024.

During this time, the company continued to refine the laser and progressed from a concept to an approved combat model.

According to Celebra Tech, Tryzub is capable of shooting down enemy reconnaissance drones at a distance of up to 1,500 meters. The effective engagement range for FPV drones is 800–900 meters.

“Today, Tryzub is basically capable of engaging targets at a distance of 5 km—this will allow for the effective shooting down of UAVs such as Shahed,” the company noted.

During the upgrades, the developers implemented an AI-based guidance system, automatic target acquisition and tracking, as well as integration with radar to obtain precise flight paths of enemy targets.

The company stated that Tryzub can be integrated into private air defense systems designed to protect critical infrastructure and strategically important facilities. Additionally, the laser can be used for demining.

The system’s design on a trailer platform ensures its mobility, allowing it to be rapidly deployed in threatening areas to protect infrastructure or troop positions.

First demonstration of the Tryzub laser

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces demonstrated the operation and revealed the capabilities of the Ukrainian Tryzub laser system for the first time in April 2025.

During the tests, the military demonstrated the system’s operation against a ground target, as well as the use of the laser to blind the camera of a fiber-optic FPV drone.
