Transported Through the Village on a Tractor: Drone Found in Moldova Between the Villages of Pepeni and Kopaceni

In the Sîngerei district of Moldova, a local resident accidentally found a drone in a field between the villages of Pepeni and Kopaceni.

The man picked up the drone and loaded it onto a walk-behind tractor trailer, then brought it to Pepeni, not fully realizing the risks of such an act, Mayor Oleg Cernei said on his Facebook page.

Mayor Oleg Cernei said he received a photo with a message: “Mr. Mayor, a drone is being driven through the village on a walk-behind tractor.”

At first, the man could not be immediately identified, but later he was found.

The mayor said he had called 112 and the police to respond.

Currently, they are waiting for experts to arrive to take the drone and conduct technical examinations.

Last week, Russian drones illegally crossed Moldova’s airspace twice.

The incident in Pepeni may be related to this activity, but there is no official confirmation yet.
