The Ukrainian flag has been raised in the center of Kherson.

The Ukrainian military command has not yet officially announced the liberation of the city from the Russian invaders.

However, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that Kherson is returning to the control of Ukraine and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are entering the city.

Also, photos and videos featuring Ukrainian soldiers on the streets of the city are already being released on social networks.

In particular, citizens with Ukrainian flags met the defenders on the square near the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

The Ukrainian military is also met in other areas of the city, which until recently was under the occupation of Russia.

The DI called on the pelvis of Russians who remained in the liberated territory to surrender and not try to resist the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“Any attempts to counteract the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be stopped. Every Russian soldier who resists will be destroyed,” the Defense Ministry said.

The invaders were urged to surrender.

“You have the only chance to avoid death – immediately surrender,” the Defence Intelligence noted.

We remind you that today the Russian Ministry of Defense said that all the soldiers who were on the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region of Ukraine were transferred to the left bank of the river.

Despite the statements of the Russians, local residents report on social media that the soldiers of the Russian army, whom they left on the right bank of the Dnieper, change into civilian clothes and hide in residential buildings in the Kherson region. According to eyewitnesses, the Russians are very nervous, communicate in elevated tones. They also threaten to shoot if they feel like they are being filmed.
