Great Britain strengthens the eastern flank of Poland with its Challenger tanks.
Thus, reinforcements from the Allies are arriving in Poland to support the forces already dispatched there.
Mariusz Blaszczak, Minister of Defense of Poland, announced this.
“This week, the British Challenger tank company arrives in Poland as part of the Allied Reinforcement Force, supporting the troops already present in our country. This is another strong proof of British support for the eastern flank,” Blaszczak said.

As previously reported, the placement of Challenger-2 tanks in Poland was discussed at the end of April. At that time, it was planned that the tanks would be relocated for a limited period and would be “operated by British personnel.”
Currently, no details are available on how this decision was implemented.
In addition, Poland is waiting to implement the agreement to purchase American Abrams tanks. The Polish government also expects to receive German Leopard 2 tanks and implement a contract on South Korean K2 tanks.
In early June, Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that Poland handed over 240 tanks, approximately 100 armored personnel carriers, and small arms, ammunition, and military equipment to Ukraine.
This week, the Ukrainian servicemen demonstrated the T-72 tanks received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Poland and the Czech Republic.
