During the battle near the village of Terny in the Donetsk region, Azov soldiers captured the Russian T-72B3 tank.

The brigade’s press service showed how this happened.

The captured tank now works for the defense of Ukraine and helps the military destroy the invaders.

The 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade, which holds the frontline near the village of Terny in the Donetsk region, has published a video of a recent failed assault by the invaders in the area.

The military shared that the intelligence first spotted the armored group of Russians moving towards the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kreminna direction.

After that, soldiers of the Azov Brigade and the 95th Airborne Brigade defeated the enemy column of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. Other units were also involved in repelling the attack.

The enemy was attacked with various weapons, and FPV strike drones were actively used to hit the equipment.

During the battle, due to the successful actions of the Ukrainian defenders, the troops and crews of enemy vehicles fled to escape by abandoning their equipment.

According to the Ukrainian military, the Russians lost 11 units of equipment that were damaged or destroyed as a result of this battle.

After the battle was over, Azov soldiers pulled the damaged Russian tank off the battlefield. It is worth noting that this was not just a T-72B3 tank, the Russians equipped it with a combination of several electronic warfare systems. This is how they wanted to protect themselves from Ukrainian FPV drones.

All electronic warfare systems were roped together on the tower roof and powered by a nearby gasoline generator. This combination of systems simultaneously created interference on virtually all popular FPV bands.

However, Ukrainian drone operators from the 60th Mechanized Brigade managed to strike this tank using a drone with a pre-set autonomous guidance system. In the terminal phase of the flight, the fixed-wing strike drone successfully locks on an enemy combat vehicle in sight and independently hits the target.
