Soldiers of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment cleared the enemy’s positions and captured a Russian soldier in the Pokrovsk sector.

The regiment’s press service reported on this.

The clearing of the enemy’s trench system took place in close cooperation with drones, which, using a drop system, forced the enemy to hide in a dugout.

The trenches were cleared by soldiers in pairs, with one soldier covering and the other throwing grenades into the dugout.

After the grenades exploded, the soldiers opened fire on the dugout with machine guns. It is worth noting that before throwing the grenades, they offered the enemy to surrender and stay alive but were told: “We’ll think about it.”

After these words, the Ukrainian soldiers approached again and threw grenades into the dugout again. When the soldiers tried to go inside, they heard the sound of a machine gun bolt, after which the enemy returned fire and began throwing grenades as well.

At the same time, more soldiers approached the dugout to surround it. The soldiers threw a grenade into the ventilation hole, killing one Russian invader. The other one, dropping his weapon, ran out of the dugout and fell to the ground with his arms raised.

Later, the Russian prisoner of war said that he and his deceased comrade found themselves in a difficult situation – there was no supply of ammunition and provisions, so they had to eat a cat. At first, he tried to convince his comrade to surrender, but he refused.

After being captured, Ukrainian soldiers provided the Russian POW with first aid: they gave him painkillers, bandaged his wounds, and saved his life.

Militarnyi previously reported that six assault riflemen of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment captured eight Russian infantrymen.

The incident took place in the Pokrovsk sector in the Donetsk region. The assault was carried out by mobilized soldiers with an average age of 50.

Soldiers of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Regiment captured the 74th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade soldiers. As previously reported, in the Kemerovo region of the Russian Federation (Kuzbass), a camp has been organized for the wounded and deserters who are being sent back to the front line.
