In Pakistan, terrorists recruited suicide bombers who were sent to break through the wall of a military base.
The attack on the military base in the city of Bannu killed at least nine people and injured 25, the Times of India reported.
The terrorists used two cars with explosives to carry out the attack, which drove into the Pakistani army base.
“At least six civilians have been killed so far, including three children,” stated a local official.
The attackers blew themselves up to break through the wall. After the breach in the wall, five or six more attackers tried to enter the base but were eliminated.
Jaish Al-Fursan, a group affiliated with the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Terrorists claim that its militants killed dozens of soldiers during the attack, although the Pakistani army has not confirmed these losses.
Jaish Al-Fursan is responsible for many terrorist attacks and attacks on military and police targets in Pakistan. They are also known for their attacks against Shia communities in Pakistan.
Bannu is often targeted by terrorists. In November, a car bomb killed 12 soldiers. In July, there was also an attack on a military facility.
Currently, relations between Pakistan and the Taliban remain tense. The Pakistani government is trying to fight groups associated with the Taliban.
In October 2024, at least 10 Pakistani border guards were killed in an attack on an outpost on the border with Afghanistan.
At the same time, the Taliban are also attacking Iran. In 2023, the group used manpower and armored vehicles to attack an Iranian border post.
