In one of the Russian units, soldiers were stripped naked, beaten, and thrown into a pit for not following orders.

The InformNapalm community published a video of another incident of abuse in the Russian military.

The footage showed the incident occurred at the 2nd Battalion of the 247th Air Assault Regiment, which is fighting against Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russian officers lined up four soldiers who refused to obey orders, resulting in casualties.

The soldiers were stripped, beaten, and forced to climb into a pit naked, using this as a demonstrative “punishment” in front of other soldiers who filmed the whole thing on their cell phones to add to the humiliation.

Such actions by the Russian command were presented as a disciplinary measure aimed at “motivating” them to follow all orders.

Similar cases are increasingly being recorded in the Russian military.

This is attributed to the constant need to perform dangerous tasks, such as assaults or holding poorly defended positions, as well as the low level of training of commanders who give suicidal orders.

In May, there were already cases of Russian officers forcing soldiers who refused to go on an assault to fight each other in a pit.

Dmitry Travin, one of the Russian soldiers who was subjected to similar practices, later surrendered to Ukrainian captivity and described the details of these methods.

“I refused to go to the assault, and I was forced to fight with another refuser, a prisoner. They said that the one who survived would get out of this pit,” Dmytro Travin said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.

But even after he defeated his “opponent” in a fight, he was sent back to the assault, after which he decided to surrender to Ukrainian captivity.
