Special forces destroyed the Strela-10 SAM of the Russians

Ukrainian special forces destroyed the Strela-10 air defense system and the amphibious transporter of the Russian invaders.

The Command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the equipment was hit in the southern direction.

During the reconnaissance of the area, operators of one of the Special Operations Forces units discovered camouflaged positions of the invaders’ equipment.

Unmanned aerial systems were actively used in operation.

The footage shows that the equipment was parked in the wooded area and was covered with pine branches.

“By using drones with ammunition and due to the skillful actions of our soldiers, enemy equipment was destroyed,” the special forces said.

The destroyed Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system controlled the airspace through the optical and electronic system to detect air targets at low altitudes.

The system is based on a 9А34 combat vehicle which is built on an amphibious MT-LB chassis.

In recent months, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been actively conducting combat operations in the occupied part of the Kherson region.

The operation in the Nova Kakhovka area was one of the most famous ones. On the night of January 23-24, a special forces group conducted a reconnaissance raid on the rear of the invaders.

Also, the air defense systems of the Russian military are being actively destroyed in the Kherson region.

In February, the Ukrainian military destroyed radar, launch vehicles of air defense systems, and artillery systems in the Kherson region.
