SKYRIPER Joins Production of Octopus-100 Interceptor

Ukrainian company SKYRIPER will assist in the serial production of Octopus-100 interceptor drones.

This was reported to Militarnyi by the company.

“This decision is intended to significantly strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combating enemy strike and reconnaissance UAVs,” the company said.

Ukrainian unmanned systems developer SKYRIPER is known for producing bomber drones, FPV drones, and relay drones.

The company has also developed a universal guidance system for Triglav drones and other important components for drones.

Octopus-100 is designed as an interceptor drone to combat enemy drones and protect critical infrastructure.

This unmanned aerial vehicle was created by the technical team of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

It was recently announced that the Ukrainian company TAF Industries is preparing to launch mass production of this interceptor.

The Octopus-100 has been talked about for a long time, but there is still no information about its mass use, precisely because of the lack of serial production.

One of the main obstacles to scaling up was the presence of several critical components in the product.

These parts were in limited supply, which made it impossible to rapidly increase production rates.

Therefore, the developers, together with the manufacturer, worked out a replacement for the scarce components.
