Russian soldiers are using a Chinese commercial radar in conjunction with FPV interceptors to counter Ukrainian drones.

The Powerful Informer Telegram channel reported on this.

The 22nd Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the 11th Army Corps uses a portable radar manufactured by Zhejiang Fanshuang Technology.

The device is available in versions with a range of 5, 10, and 20 km and is sold on Chinese marketplaces.

The price depends on the configuration, with the most expensive version costing around $220,000–230,000.

The radar has ‘black’ and ‘white’ lists, allowing for the addition of friendly drones to speed up identification and reduce the risk of friendly fire.

The manufacturer also claims that the system is capable of accurately detecting drones within the observation zone and the operator’s location based on the flight trajectory of the aircraft.

The photos show Ukrainian drones Leleka-100M2, MiniShark-D, Vector, Heavy Shot, Darts, and Distractor intercepted using the radar.

It was recently reported that during the Russian missile and drone strike on October 5th over western Ukraine, which had been the main target of the attack, at least three Chinese reconnaissance SAR satellites had flown overhead.
