Russian invaders have once again shot dead captured Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk sector.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported on this.

Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the commission of a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to intelligence, on November 10, 2024, during an assault on the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Novodmytrivka, Pokrovsk district, Russian war criminals took two Ukrainian soldiers prisoner.

After that, they forced the prisoners to undress and led them at gunpoint through a forested area where they were shot.

Information about the killing of three more wounded Ukrainian defenders at this position by the invaders is also being checked.

Such actions are qualified as a serious international crime and a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by SSU investigators in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Russian war criminals

On November 6, Militarnyi reported that soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade captured a Russian who witnessed the commission of war crimes against Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Russian Yuriy Pitkevich served in the 155th Marine Brigade and was taken prisoner in the Kursk region.

At the end of September, he witnessed the murder of two Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Glushkove.

According to the prisoner, the unit commander gave the order for the execution and subsequent beheading. The prisoner of war named him, as well as the names of the soldiers who were directly responsible for this war crime.

On November 5, it was reported that Russian servicemen had committed another war crime in the Pokrovsk sector.

According to intelligence, on October 23, 2024, during an offensive on Selydove, Russian criminals captured three Ukrainian soldiers.

After some time, the invaders shot the unarmed prisoners of war.
