On the morning of Saturday, April 8, explosions occurred in the occupied Crimea, local residents reported on social networks.

After that, the Russians announced the alleged activation of anti-aircraft defense.

The residents of Feodosia and surrounding areas heard the sounds of two powerful explosions.

The head of the occupying authority of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, reported that a missile had allegedly been shot down. According to the invaders’ official, it was launched from Ukraine.

On social networks eyewitnesses claim that explosions were heard on Druzhba Street, as well as in other areas of the city, resulting in cars’ alarms going off.

“I live on Garnaeva Street. The explosions were very powerful, but I could not see anything, there were high-rise buildings all around,” the locals said.

“Everyone heard. But no smoke, nothing was visible. The man was in Staryi Krym and also heard these explosions, but they were not loud,” another eyewitness emphasized.

According to the information from local residents, the incident happened at approximately 10:59 local time.

Russian propaganda telegram channels began to publish photos featuring the wreckage of the missile that had fallen to the ground.

These wreckage visually resemble the remnants of an anti-aircraft missile from the Russian S-300/S-400 air defense system.

As previously reported, on March 4, a powerful explosion occurred near the Hvardiiske air base in the occupied Crimea. Then the invaders announced that they had shot down an alleged drone moving towards the airfield. The photo featuring a huge crater with a depth significantly greater than a person’s height was formed at the place of the fall.
