Ukrainian troops defeated an armored group of Russian invaders in the Donetsk region, near the occupied Novomykhailivka settlement.
The defeat of the Russian assault group was filmed by Shadow unit’s drones.
The Russian command sent one T-80 tank and two BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the attack.
To protect against drones, the Russians installed protective grilles on all armored vehicles.
The tank was equipped with a KMT-6 tracked mine trawl, which was supposed to allow it to cross Ukrainian minefields.
The principle of the trawl is based on pushing mines out of the ground and throwing them beyond the projection of the tracks.
In this way, the Russian armored group tried to break through to the Ukrainian positions.
The movement of the Russian convoy was monitored by Ukrainian reconnaissance drones, which corrected artillery and FPV strikes.
As a result, a Russian T-80BVM tank and BMP-3 armored vehicles were completely destroyed. The destroyed BMP-3 was also equipped with a 688M-SB3KDZ defense system.
“The Russian infantry was killed by drone strikes,” the military said.
The Russians have already made several attempts to advance in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region from the occupied village of Novomykhailivka.
In early June, Ukrainian troops stopped an attempt by the Russian invaders to advance toward the village of Kostiantynivka in this area. Recently, the Ukrainian General Staff reported on the difficult situation near the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
